SHACtivate! kick starts SHAC’s new community spaces with a rich and diverse month of artist workshops, family engagement activities, performances & installations. Featured during the four week program is Imagine More, a group exhibition of SHAC resident artists followed by a showcase of Noongar Women artists in KwobidakYorga.
SHAC acknowledges the Noongar people as the traditional custodians of the Whadjuk region, on which we work and live. SHACtivate! will be a wonderful opportunity to be introduced to SHAC’s artist community in the new WGV Eco Village. Each weekend there will be a different creative focus. The launch weekend of activities includes a free family concert with puppetry and live music. The following weekend will focus on celebrating new emerging young creatives with sound installations and street art, and rounding off the launch celebrations will be a very special weekend of Noongar culture with art, traditional storytelling, dance workshops and bush tucker. |
