SHAC Member's Art Practice - Madeline Clare

Madeline Clare is a multi-disciplinary visual artist. Completing a Fine Art BA from Curtin University in 2017 she draws upon a background of study in Design History BA (Manchester University), Millinery (London College of Fashion), Mothering (global), practitioner of Ayurveda (Australia) and teacher of Yoga (Australia).  Born of London she currently lives in Fremantle, WA.

The work uncovers complex layers with a visual fluidity of material that breathe gracefully through abstract figurative form and landscape.  Inspired by patterning with rhythms that inform ease and disease, she uses a wealth of creative knowledge to expound a sense of rich simplicity.

From a recent art residency in Iceland’s voluptuous volcanic geology with walking as meditation and art practice, Madeline’s work contributes to the dialogue on the rhythms in feminine ecology.
