NEXT WORKSHOP
Seeing/Drawing Classes – Tutor: Lynne Tinley

Dates: 6 Saturdays from 12 Oct – 9 Nov.

Time:  10am to 12.30pm
Price of the course:  $140pp, $120 (concession).
Learn to draw what you see. This course is for beginners or for advanced artists to improve their skills in observation and realistic drawing.
Focusing on what you see and putting it down line by line is a meditative and cognition changing exercise. The process taught in this course greatly improves drawing skills and helps you open up to the creative mode of thinking through enhanced focus, observation and confidence.

Lynne Tinley is a painter and printmaker who has been active in her field for 55 years. She has had 27 solo exhibitions in South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, and Australia and been involved in numerous group exhibits and community art projects.

Lynne taught drawing and painting at Fremantle Art Centre, Claremont School of Art and privately for 20 years. For 5 years she ran creativity workshops and taught drawing at the Creativity Centre in Fremantle.

The SHAC COLAB2 GALLERY by Lynne Tinley

Through the 55 years of a painting career I have always thought it would be great to have my own gallery; just down from my front door, no transport problems, no hassles getting heavy paintings from carparks up to city galleries, no exorbitant commissions. Now, in my senior years, I have the next best thing, a gallery within the community where I live.It is a communal gallery and it is just down the walkway from my front door. I can saunter down there before breakfast and do some work or sit with my mug of coffee and soak up the lightness and brightness of the walls and gentle grey polished cement floor.

The CoLab2 Gallery has the feel of community. It says ‘lets be friends’ to whoever comes in. It is serene, peaceful; with sunlight and dappled shade playing on the balcony.

It can be any artist’s dream-come-true to exhibit in this intimate and pristine space with its high ceilings. The rent for hire is affordable and there is no commission taken from sales.  We have an Application to Hire form that you can download from this website.

Small performances, book launches or poetry readings as well as exhibitions and clean workshops will be welcomed in this space. We invite you to come and have a look at the SHAC CoLab2 Gallery.
